Oliver O'Connor is an independent consultant, specialising in new projects in health finance, health insurance, long term care financing, and pharmaceutical pricing issues. He advises clients on the crossover areas between commercial strategies and public policy. He has high level experience in Government, healthcare, financial services and media. From 2001 to 2010, he was a senior Special Adviser in the Irish Government working for Mary Harney as Tánaiste (Deputy Prime Minister), Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment and, since 2004, Minister for Health and Children.
