2. New Year Message from the President
Dear friends,
My warm regards to you all. On behalf of my entire EB team I present to you my
best complements of the season. But as 2013 runs to an end, it is an opportunity
for us to have a retrospective look at AISEC Alumni Cameroon development so
far. It has not been as easy ride throughout, but giving ground reality we have
reasons to be satisfied with what we have done so far.
The registration process of AAC has been completed
AAC has plaid a key role in the development of AIESEC Cameroon with
facilitating the participation of AIESEC Cameroon at the International
Conference in Egypt, Active participation of alumni in key events at both
strategic and operational level.
We have turned the First Thursday meeting into the “Alumnite” which is
more flexible and we been able to meet regularly.
We have some key projects that are still in the pipe line.
AAC members have been involved in the development of AIESEC
ALUMNI INTERNATIONAL AND AIESEC ALUMNI AFRICA in
various capacities.
AAC members in Yaoundé are getting more and more active and together.
As we move into 2014, we need to gather momentum and storm the year in a
powerful way. We are thinking about lunching our activities in 2014 with a real
wild picnic.
Once again I wish you all the best in 2014
Yours Alumnitely ….
Tako Modele

3. Review of 2013
2013 has been an excited year for AIESEC Alumni in Cameroon. We observed
more engagement and commitment from Alumni both old and New generation,
willing to definitely set up an Alumni Association that will create impact both on
AIESEC members in Cameroon and in the community while offering a valuable
networking platform for Alumni.
All initiatives started by a group of volunteers till the General Assembly was
organized and set up an Executive Team responsible to lay the foundation of the
Association. Among the achievements for 2013 and as mentioned by the
President:
The AIESEC Alumni Cameroon
was
finally
registered
as
Association as per the law of 1990
about the Association in the
Republic of
Cameroon.
The
organization is now operating
legally. This was the wish of all the Alumni and we believe this is a great step
ahead to mobilize more alumni around one project with a clear mission and vision.
Get access to the legal compendium and bylaws of the Association here:

70% of the monthly meet up as plan was
realized: The monthly meet up initially known
as “Alumni First Thursday” and currently
called “Alumnite” was and still the main
platform to attract new alumni while providing
updates on Projects.
Alumni database building: We nearly have
200 alumni in the database now. The different
meetings and events organized allowed us to
achieve this. We still inviting Alumni to
continue talk to people they know from their
generation and also invite them to join the
platform. Secretariat AIESEC Alumni Cameroon: Berlin Ngueumeni, joeberlin@live.com

4. Review of 2013
An active contribution of Alumni to AIESEC Cameroon Conferences: The
National Leadership Development Seminar was in May 2013 in the Campus of
the University of Douala. The second one, The National Induction and
Motivation Seminar was delivered in December 2013 in Yaoundé. Both
conferences received the coaching, mentoring, training and financial contribution
of Alumni. Alumni also actively support AIESEC Cameroon to attend the
International Congress in Egypt, which is one of the Country Membership
criteria.
The Alumni Network in Yaoundé
starts activities and meetings:
Yaoundé has a good amount of active
Alumni and we were all happy to
realize that meetings effectively
started. Let’s keep it and let’s don’t
stop inviting others from our
generation.
Many projects were discussed, and
some of them are actually in the
pipeline: Alumni came to a consensus
that it will be worth to initiate some
activities that could generate resources
for the roll out of the Association. The
advanced project was about a Business
centre to be set in Douala. Actually
there is a committee in place working
to study the feasibility of the project.

Projects
