Question
is
often
asked,
“Does
a
person
have
to
be
baptised
to
be
saved?
The
answer
is
an
emphatic
yes
–
but
not
by
Water
Baptism.
Rom 6:3 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his
death?
1 Cor 12:13 For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether [we be] Jews or Gentiles,
whether [we be] bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.
Water
Baptism
is
a
public
confession
of
a
private
confirmation.
When
we
are
saved,
we
are
baptized
by
the
Holy
Spirit.

and
its

The
Baptism
of
the
Holy
Spirit
happens
the
moment
you
are
saved.
You
cannot
have
any
personal
relationship
without
the
Holy
Spirit.
The
Second
Blessing
or
the
Second
Work
of
Grace,
which
teaches
the
complete
present
Sanctification
or
the
“equipping”
of
the
Saint
for
the
work
of
the
Lord
at
a
later
date
is
not
Biblical.
Ephesians
4:8,
gifts
were
received
on
the
day
we
entered
the
Kingdom
of
God.
The
idea
of
the
gap
between
Salvation
and
Baptism
of
the
Holy
Spirit
comes
from
four
narrations
in
Acts.
1. Acts
2.
Day
of
Pentecost.
Jews
in
Jerusalem.
• They
were
Christ
followers
and
it
fell
on
each
of
them
without
exclusion.
• Num
11:29.
Moses’
prayer
was
that
each
of
them
would
receive
the
Spirit.
• Tongues
of
fire
marked
visually
that
all
received
the
Spirit.
• Joel
prophecies
and
Peter
confirms
that
this
happened
on
the
day
of
Pentecost.
• Day
of
Pentecost
marks
the
day
of
God’s
outpouring
of
the
Holy
Spirit
on
His
people.
2. Acts
8:5;
14-­‐17.
Samaria.
• They
received
the
Word
first,
and
Holy
Spirit
was
received
later
by
the
laying
of
hands.
• The
Holy
Spirit
was
poured
on
all
of
the
Saints.

God

Gentiles
who
believed

Jehovah.

It
fell
on
all.

These
were

believed

parts

the
earth.
• Each
people
group
is
touched
and
God
certifies
their
privilege
and
membership
with
the
body
of
Christ.
Let
us
not
hold
too
low
a
view
of
the
Pentecost
and
make
Salvation
an
emotional
issue.
While
emotions
are
reflective
of
the
shallowest
part
of
the
mind;
Salvation
really
is
at
the
deepest
level.
