 Bobby Dodd, Prinicipal, New Lexington High School
 Future Principal of Gahanna Lincoln High School in 2014-15.
 1:1 school using iPads, Appalachia Ohio, 45% Economically
Disadvantaged.
 Everyone (parents, community members, students, other school districts,
etc.) wants to know what you are doing, how you are doing it, and why
you are doing things that way.
 And EVERYONE wants to know NOW, so we need alternative forms of
communication
 And don’t forget about Marketing.

 Use resource that gives parents choices (email, text,
phone)

• Communicate what is happening at school
• Focus on instructional methods
• Don’t make excuses why you can’t do it
(tools, time)

message

Communication is Key  Bobby Dodd, Prinicipal, New Lexington High School  Future Principal of Gahanna Lincoln High School in 2014-15.  1:1 school using iPads, Appalachia Ohio, 45% Economically Disadvantaged.  Everyone (parents, community members, students, other school districts, etc.) wants to know what you are doing, how you are doing it, and why you are doing things that way.  And EVERYONE wants to know NOW, so we need alternative forms of communication  And don’t forget about Marketing. #2014cfsdodd
