Question 1: In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real
media products?
My Sixth Form magazine is very similar to other Sixth
Form magazines out on the Internet. It is similar by the
use of the layout and the contents of the magazine.
However, in my Sixth Form magazine I have used
aspects such a masthead, a left third, images, etc. I tried
to make it slightly different to ones that were already
                     out there on the web.
I tried to show the Sixth Form as calm, and a learning
place. I also included pages on my contents page which
would appeal to Sixth Form students.

2. How does your media product represent particular social groups?
My magazine represents particular social groups by the types of fonts, colours, and images I used for the front
cover and contents page. I made sure both my contents page and front cover were set out to a standard that
would appeal to Sixth Form students. I included a photo of the Sixth Form on the front cover to make sure that
if students picked the magazine up, they would definitely know it was for their Sixth Form.

3. What kind of media institution might distribute your media product and why?
A media institution that distributed magazines would distribute my magazine because they would be more
sufficient to use to distribute my media product rather than a different institution that did not specialise in
distributing media.

4. Who would be the audience for your media product?
The audience for my Sixth Form magazine would be the Sixth Form students as I tried to aim my magazine
front cover and contents page more towards the young adult age of 16-18 year olds. I made sure it aimed
towards this audience by making sure the colours and images appealed to that age group.

5. How did you attract/address your audience?
I attracted and addressed my audience to my Sixth Form magazine by making sure the layout was appropriate
for the age group I had chosen, (16-18 year olds), and I made sure the colours, fonts and images were all
suitable too.

6. What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this product?
I have learnt that when using Adobe Photoshop for making my magazine, it can sometimes be temperamental
and this can make me lose some of my work at times. It can also be quite slow which can slow down the time
in which I complete my product by.
I would probably try to use different software and technology for the other sections of my work next time as
some of it was not as a good as it could have been.
