Top News :
• ALSTOM India Ltd has been awarded a contract worth approximately INR 6790 million (i.e. approximately € 85 million) by Bharat Heavy
Electricals Limited (BHEL) to supply two 800 MW supercritical boilers for Darlipalli super thermal power project (STPP) located in Sundergarh, in
the State of Odisha (India). The order is 24.44 % of sales .
• SERI Clarification : " SREI infra Looking to divest stake in VIOM" SREI Infrastructure Finance Ltd has clarified to as under: Srei Infrastructure
Finance Limited (Srei) has a strategic investment in Viom Networks Limited (Viom), which is an unlisted Company . Viom is planning to raise funds
for its growth either through private placement or listing overseas. Till date, the Board of Directors of Srei have not considered to divest any stake
in Viom.
• Steel Authority of India Ltd (SAIL) recorded 7 per cent growth in sales in February over the same month last year. SAIL produced 1 million
tonnes (mt) of saleable steel in February. The month also witnessed 4 per cent production growth each in hot metal and crude steel at 1.12 mt
and 1.04 mt respectively.
• Dr Reddy’s Laboratories Ltd announced today that it has launched Moxifloxacin Hydrochloride Tablets, 400 mg, a therapeutic equivalent generic
version of Avelox (moxifloxacin HCl) tablets 400mg in the US market .
• IL&FS Transport announced an issue price at Rs 100 per share for the proposed rights issue. The existing shareholders will be offered equity
shares in the ratio of twenty seven (27) shares for every one hundred (100) equity shares held by them. The record date has been fixed as March
14.
• IRB Westcoast Tollway Pvt. Ltd. - Wholly-owned Subsidiary of the IRB Infra , has received Appointed Date from NHAI in terms of the
Concession Agreement executed with NHAI for the project of Four Laning of Goa/Karnataka Border to Kundapur section of NH-17 from Km 93.700
to Km 283.300 in the State of Karnataka under NHDP phase IV on Design, Build, Finance, Operate and Transfer (Toll) Basis (the “Project”).
Subsequently, the SPV has commenced construction on the Project.
• Tata Communications signs agreement with Turkcell Superonline to deploy MPLS PoP in Turkey . Partnership with Turkcell Superonline enables
improved connectivity to Turkey and the rest of the world .
• Markit said that Euro Zone Services PMI rose to 52.6, from 51.7 in the preceding quarter. Analysts had expected Euro Zone Services PMI to
remain unchanged at 51.7 in the last quarter.
• U.K. Markit/CIPS Services Purchasing Managers Index inched down to 58.2 last month from a reading of 58.3 in January. Analysts had
expected the index to decline to 58.0 in February.
• Eurostat said retail sales increased by a seasonally adjusted 1.6% in January, easily surpassing expectations for a 0.8% gain. Retail sales fell 1.3%
in December, whose figure was revised from a previously reported drop of 1.6%.
• The HSBC Indian Services Purchasing Managers' Index (PMI), compiled by Markit, rose to 48.8 in February from 48.3, but remained stuck below
the 50 mark that separates growth from contraction for the eighth month.
