Toshiba Thailand donated 2 million baht to release two elephants named Jai Soo and Phak Pian back into the Mae Yaw National Reserve Forest in January 2009. Over 300 dealers from Toshiba nationwide participated in the ceremony. In October 2009, Toshiba Group celebrated its 40th anniversary in Thailand by donating 1 million baht to release a third elephant as part of its environmental protection and biodiversity efforts. The document then lists additional environmental activities conducted by Toshiba Thailand throughout 2009, including tree plantings, concerts, scholarships and an art exhibition.

Oct 8,09 Thai Toshiba Group Release The 3 rd Elephant Thai Toshiba Group celebrated its 40 th anniversary with an elephant release event on Oct 8, 2009, donating 1 million bahts to Thailand Elephant Reintroduction Project. Mr. Nishida, the chairman of the board of Toshiba Corporation, and 12 Thai Toshiba Group top managements including presidents and managing directors proudly participated this event to practice environment protection and to maintain biodiversity. Thai Toshiba Group has been continuously promoting environmental activities in Thailand, in fact, this is the 2nd elephant release event. The previous event,Toshiba Thailand Co.,Ltd (TTC) have released 2 elephants with Nationwide Dealers on Jan 22, 2009 . The elephant returned to a natural forest with joy after the release ceremony. Toshiba Group wishes that she lives happily ever after.
