Personal notes/reminders/homework/other
considerations:
The pupils English level is not very good,
since they only have got one session every
two weeks and it is the first year they study
English. And I am not the English teacher.
25. 4. Reflections
The result of the lesson plan Top 5 dinosaur
was not as I thought previously. I think
that the first difficulty is that I have been
too many time without teaching English.
The second one is that the children are
not my pupils, I do not know their English
knowledge

26. Dinosaurs: The top 5
(although their English teacher, my colleague in
the school, told me about them and that they
have not been exposed to English a lot).
Moreover, they had not tools to understand my
English explanations, so I had to translate too
many times.
I think that it was a very easy activity, but it took
me more than one hour. Luckily, the other
teacher did not mind to borrow me some
minutes from her classroom time.
27. Dinosaurs: The top 5
Fortunately, and for me, the most important point
of view of the activity, it was a success for the
children, they liked a lot, from the beginning they
were very enthusiastic, of course, they liked the
topic 'dinosaurs' and they enjoyed a lot
discovering some of them in the Natural history
museum web page, and even more when I
asked them to invent their own dinosaur from the
different parts of the top 5 dinosaurs.
28. Dinosaurs: The top 5
They asked me to repeat the classroom, they tried
to speak in English, although they said to me
few words, and I realised that they had got
several problems to pronounce and even to say
the sentences aloud, they became shy because
they recognized their language problems in
order to produce what they wanted or they could
in Spanish or Catalan.
29. Dinosaurs: The top 5
To sum up, I think that the situation was not usual,
for them and for me. So in another context
perhaps the lesson plan could go better.
However, I have enjoyed a lot, I have learned
and I have realised that I need to teach English
again.
