Welcome!

2. What is Blackboard?
Blackboard is Corning Community College’s Learning Management
System.
Every class registered with the college gets a corresponding Blackboard
course page.
These instructions will help you navigate around the first thing you’ll
see when you sign into Blackboard – the Dashboard.

3. Sign in
You can access Blackboard two ways. The most
common way is to first sign into MyCCC and then
select the Blackboard tab.
You can also sign in directly to Blackboard by
typing the following into your browser’s address
bar - https//corning.open.suny.edu. In the page
that comes up, put in the same username and
password that you use to get into MyCCC.

4. Dashboard
The Dashboard is the main
landing page. On the
Dashboard, you will find …

5. My Courses
In this section you can access any
course in which you’re enrolled as
an instructor (or as a student) in
the My Courses box on the far
upper right.

6. My Announcements
These are announcements that
you’ve made (as an instructor) or
received (as a student).

7. Alerts
This includes items that you’ve set
up as alerts. These can include
due or past due items. You can
change the notifications in the
Edit Notification Settings bar.

8. Tools
This gives direct access to the
more commonly used tools in
Blackboard.
