UNITED NATIONS CONFERENCE
  ON HUMAN SETTLEMENTS
      Vancouver, 31 MAY -11 JUNE 1976
                SUBMITTED BY: ASHLEY MULLER
“Mankind must not be daunted by the scale of the task ahead. There is need
for awareness of and responsibility for increased activity of the national
Governments and international community , aimed at mobilization of economic
resources, institutional changes and international solidarity.” - of the Declaration
of Principles, resulting from the Vancouver Conference.

   The premise of this conference
was to strive to create policy
   which would effectively reduce
   the destruction of human dignity
   and necessary environmental
   resources as the worldʼs
   population was projected to
nearly double in size over the
course of the next 25 years
   thereby creating an
   overpopulation crisis.

                                                         VANCOUVER, 1976
