2. Heaven and Hell
“To
enter heaven is to become
more human than you ever
succeeded in being on earth;
to enter hell, is to be banished
from humanity.” (C.S. Lewis The
Problem of Pain)
3. Heaven
In my essay I talked about how heaven was
prepared for man and how hell is banishment
from humanity. Since heaven is made for man,
a person does not reach full humanity until
they enter into it. God made us to worship
and obey Him. So technically, we are not fully
human until we enter into the kingdom of God
through Christ.
4. Hell
Hell was never made for man. It was created for
the devil and his followers. To be cast into hell is
to be banished from humanity. A man who has a
heart after God is complete. However, a man who
has made himself a god is far off from human.
When a person chooses his own desires instead
of God, he is an ex-human. So when someone is
in hell, they become the remains of a human
because to be a human is to be passionately
obedient to God.

6. About the Picture
This picture represents the remains of a soul in
hell. When we choose ourselves over Christ
we might think it is human nature but the
reality is that we were made to glorify God.
Sin was never meant to be a part of us. Since
there is sin it makes sense that heaven is
where we achieve ultimate humanity and hell
is where it is destroyed.
