• Publication as it is known today depends on a
series of 3 major inventions : writing , paper ,
printing

• System of printing and typography that uses
moveable components to reproduce the
elements of a document.
• 1st known moveable type was known in china
by bi sheng out of a ceramic block.
• This led to printing in jikji in 1377 today
worlds oldest extant moveable print book.

• With invention of paper writing materials
became easy than bones ,shells ,bamboo
strips , metal , stones etc.
