19. What is an off-grid system?
Off-grid obviously means that your solar system is
not connected to the utility grid, because you live
in a remote area and don’t have access to the
grid or you want to become energy self sufficient.
It requires that the solar panels are able to
produce enough electricity to cover 100% of the
energy needs.
For advanced systems with higher capacity, the
built-in solar charger in the inverter is not enough
and the system requires external solar chargers.

Grid-tied systems can be upgraded to include a
