To gain high marks you need to clearly explain
your theme and the concept you want to
explore within this theme. After producing a
broad mood board on your theme add an
explanation explaining the direction you are
planning to go in for your project. This might
change a little as your explore your theme so
don’t worry!
For could be add directly on top of your mood
board or created on a new board. Make sure
you use the writing grid to support your
concept explanation.

What do you find interesting about this
chosen topic?
2. What specific area of this theme do you
want to explore?
3. What photographs will you take to
support this project? (do you need to
plan a trip somewhere, use the school
photographic studio?)
4. What Art work would you like to create
from your chosen theme?

Monday20th February
-Add a ‘Theme Direction’ explanation to your complete mood
board
-Fully complete your first Artist board (make sure you use the
‘How to Write about Artist sheet’ and link clearly to your
Theme). For higher marks take your own photograph and create
a transcription in the style of the Artists work.
-Take AT LEAST 30 photographs linking to your chosen theme.
You will be using these to create Artwork from so be thoughtful
and considered when taking these (the photos need to be
printed or ready on a memory stick straight after half term)
-Research a second Artist that links to your chosen theme and
create a transcription.
