in a language that they understand. We shall use
community resources for translation and interpretation
when we do not have sufficient resources in our own
programs.
 We shall maintain confidentiality and shall respect the family’s right to
privacy, refraining from disclosure of confidential
information and intrusion into family life. However, when
we have reason to believe that a child’s welfare is at risk, it
is permissible to share confidential information with
agencies, as well as with individuals who have legal
responsibility for intervening in the child’s interest.

● Georgina is very supportive & willing to work with the family
● School had a parent liaison to assist with uniforms for the

educator/professional should take?
● A home visit would be possible, but before a relationship is
established it may be intrusive to the family.
● Also, Georgina could have chosen to do absolutely nothing.
This certainly would not be the right action to take but is a
possible one. Georgina could have ignored the problem or
leave it up to someone else to handle the issue.
