Media Utilization at UTMB Health SON The University of Texas Medial Branch of Health School of Nursing is dedicated to the using the framework provided by Instructional Design and Technology to make the most use of the Media Rich Resources at its disposal.
History of UTMB Health SON Located at 1100 Mechanic, Galveston, TX 77555-1029 Recently celebrated its 120th anniversary Oldest school of nursing in the Southwest
UTMB Vision 	“The University of Texas Medical Branch School of Nursing is committed to ensuring its position as a leader in nursing education through the development of innovative educational programs that prepare graduates to meet the health needs of society in the 21st century” (Chaisson, 2011, para. 1).

NISC State of the art facility that provides an interactive environment that simulates a variety of clinical settings. Resources available to all nursing students have been selected in order to facilitate the acquisition of nursing knowledge and skills which in turn link education, research and practice. UTMB Mission The mission of The University of Texas Medical Branch School of Nursing at Galveston is to provide scholarly teaching, conduct innovative scientific investigations, provide state-of-the-art, culturally relevant patient care, and contribute to the health of the community through professional and public service. The concepts of health promotion, human response to illness, and healing practices provide a framework for all School of Nursing activities including teaching, research, patient care and service commitments (Chaisson, 2011, para. 2).
