• You need to spend time in the location for your expansion.
• You need to build network there with friends and experts
you know online and offline: important because of testing
of the product, building momentum and sales cycles
• It would be fantastic if you speak the local language and
have the person on the team who does.
• You need to have an expert i.e. senior consultant with a
successful track record of working in that location for a
while who can give you sound advice with integrity: the good
thing when many of your contacts emigrated

•What are touchpoints in my business operations and brand that

fantastic book-keeper and be curious yourself.)
•What are laws in my homeland and abroad that are relevant for me? e.g. If
I start with e-commerce on my website, new laws apply.
•Who are partners in the export country to help me? Chambers of
commerce, attorneys, consultants, UX designers, translators. Get a solid list
of partners for your endeavour in international expansion.
