Misbelief #1: There is a God-ordained division
between clergy & laity. Hinati ng Diyos ang mga tao
sa 2 bahagi: Mga Pastol & Mga Karaniwang Tao
• 1Pe 2:9 – “Datapwat kayo ay isang lahing hinirang,
mga saserdote ng Hari, isang bansang nakatalaga sa
Diyos. Pinili kayo ng Diyos upang maging kanya at
maghayag ng mga kahanga-hangang gawa niya. Siya
rin ang tumawag sa inyo mula sa kadiliman tungo sa
kanyang kagila-gilas na kaliwanagan.”

16. Misbelief #2: The Church is called to operate primarily
inside a building often referred to as the “Temple.”
Tinawag ang church upang kumilos unang-una sa loob
ng isang gusali na madalas tinatawag na “Templo.”
• Mt 27:50-51 – “Muling sumigaw si Jesus at nalagutan ng
hininga. Biglang napunit sa gitna ang tabing ng templo,
mula sa itaas hanggang sa ibaba.”
• 2Co 6:16 – “Tayo ang templo ng Diyos na buhay! ”
• The early church operated in many places, none of them
church buildings as we know today. Kumilos ang unang
church sa maraming mga lugar, pero hindi tulad ng mga
alam nating gusaling iglesya ngayon.

Misbelief #3: People involved in business cannot be
as spiritual as those serving in traditional Church
ministry. Ang mga negosyante ay hindi kasi’ng
espiritual ng mga naglilingkod sa Diyos bilang
mga Pastol, atbp.
• 1Co 10:31 – “Kaya nga, kung kayo’y kumakain o
umiinom, o anuman ang ginagawa ninyo, gawin ninyo
ang lahat sa ikararangal ng Diyos.”
• Jesus, karpintero; Apostles, manging-isda; Paul,
manggagawa ng tolda; David & Moses, pastol ng mga
tupa; Joshua, sundalo; atbp.

Misbelief #4: The primary role of “market-place
Christians” is to make money to support the vision of
those “in the ministry.” Ang pinaka tungkulin ng
“mga Kristyano sa lugar ng komersiyo “ay kumita
para suportahan ang pangarap ng mga “naglilingkod
sa Diyos.”
• Act 18:3 – “… sapagkat sila’y [Priscilla & Aquila]
maggagagawa ng mga tolda, tulad niya [Paul].”
• Act 20:34 – “Alam ninyong nagbanat ako [Paul] ng
buto upang kumita ng ikabubuhay naming
magkakasama.”

19. 4 NA ANTAS NG “MARKETPLACE CHRISTIANITY”
There are 4 levels of marketplace Christianity:
1. to be a Christian in the marketplace
2. to be a Christian who applies biblical principles in
the marketplace
3. to be a Christian who does business in the fullness
& in the power of the Holy Spirit
4. to be a Christian committed to the total
transformation of the marketplace.

20. Calling
1. General sense: The call is by Christ, to
Christ, & for Christ.
2. It is a gracious initiative of God to
salvation.
3. God calls His people to radical discipleship
4. God has gifted His people for service.

5. Christ shares His power & authority to heal,
to cast out demons, to proclaim the Gospel
of the Kingdom.
6. The Good News of the Kingdom is
salvation, deliverance, joy, love, healing,
peace, justice, righteousness.
7. Christian vocation is transformational.
8. There is no class Christianity.
9. Every Christian is full time, every time,
everywhere for God’s glory.

accept & what parts to reject/change to truly
reflect what God wants?

God created everything, including the proper
purpose for everything.

• Government & Authority (Rom. 13:1-6;1 Pet.
13-20)
• Marriage & Sexuality (Gen. 2:23-24; Heb. 13:4)
If there is a problem just go back to the
norms in Scripture, see where there is a
difference & change.
