Hello everybody!

My name is Andrea and I teach English from P3 to 2nd Grade of Primary Education. The school
where I work is very big because has got three-class-per-grade. It's located in the centre of
Lleida.
I also teach in the midday extracurricular activities at the same school. So, one of the reasons
why I had joined in this course is because I like to learn new resources to encourage my
students to learn English and to motivate them. I need to know a lot of resources in order to
attend all the different grades that I teach and to avoid use the same games, materials,
worksheets,... I have inside me a necessity: recycled and improve as a teacher.
I usually use technologies in my classroom to motivate them but when I’m preparing the
classes I realise that I need a few more to make my classes enjoyable. So, what would be
better than to learn it sharing different teaching English styles and resources?
I have studied that AICLE; in English Content Language Integrated Learning, CLIL , is an
approach that involves learning subjects such as history, geography or others, through an
additional language. It can be very successful in enhancing the learning of languages and other
subjects, and developing in the youngsters a positive ‘can do’ attitude towards themselves as
language learners. In my case, I think I’m not be able to teach AICLE because I’m the “English
teacher” not the tutor that teach in English in some subjects. But I have no doubt that if I have
the opportunity to believe that it will apply the method CLIL because I think it is very suitable
for learning a second language.

My hobby is teach and learn, being always surrounded by children. So, one of my hobbies; or
rather defining characteristic is that I always have the necessity to learn. I define myself as a
"Becoming teacher."
