• absolutely loved this square of an evening. from the restaurants, cafes
and bars you have a wide variety of places to eat drink and chill out. The
square comes alive at night with locals and tourists alike meeting up and
having a great time. finished here every night after seeing the sights of
Krakow. Throughout the day and evening you will see performances of
varying degrees of quality of every kind. They regularly have some
attraction occurring over the weekend with big shows etc! well worth
stopping by.
4. Cloth Hall (Sukiennice)

• Considered the world's oldest shopping mall, the present
Renaissance structure dates from 1555 and features in its interior
many food stalls and small shops, terrace cafes and flower stands
that surround the statue of Adam Mickiewicz.

• “It is almost impossible to describe this place; walking 5 meters
below the level of the Main Market, you are able to discover the
history of the place from even tenth century. Entering the
museum one have to cross "the curtain of time", and dive in the
past.”
6. Ulica Florianska
• Important street off the Rynek Square leading to
Florianski Gate - must see, Planty, train station and
shopping centre. Street is a commercial street with a
bit of everything from clothes, pubs, money
exchanges and heritage. Would recommend the
Karmella Chocolate shop for good coffees and
chocolate.
7. St. Florian's Gate (Brama
Florianska)

• Encircling the Old Town district, this 14th-century gate
and its four towers are the remnants of the city's
fortifications, most of which were destroyed at the
beginning of the nineteenth century.
8. Jewish District

architecture. Different from Italian or French churches
with distinctive Polish style elements. Active, well
attended church so requires respect and quiet when
visiting.”
10. Wawel Cathedral and
Castle

• National shrine known for its superb religious art
including the giant bell of Zygmunt of 1520, one of the
world's largest, and the burial place of many Polish
kings and their families, national heroes and numerous
bishops.
11. Oskar Schindler's
Factory

• There is an excellent tour in golf carts that takes you to this
historical museum and tells you the horrific story of the plight of
the Jews who lived in Krakow under the Nazis in WWII. Until you
see the desolate area where this factory is and was...You cannot
fully understand the relocation of the Jews in Krakow across the
river, prior to their extermination in Aushwitz. It makes the heroic
effort of Schindler even more meaningful.
12. Gestapo Headquarters

• “Despite its size this was easily one of the most interesting things we
saw in Krakow and one if the best museums I've been to. The man was
so friendly and it was completely free. Very moving and packed full of
information, it is a must see”

Poland in general, post-1945 in the the early years of Soviet occupation.”

further than Krakow's very own 007, from picking us up at the
airport late at night to taking us out for an amazing day he could
not have done more. He kept us amused, provided lots of local
history and facts, spotlessly clean vehicle (Elvis was even with us),
he proved that he is always up for 'the mission'.
