Each cerebral hemisphere
has lateral ventricle
Roughly C shaped
Wraps around thalamus,
lentiform nucleus &
caudate nucleus
Lined by ependyma
Filled with CSF
Capacity 7-10ml

5. Two lateral ventricles are
separated by a septum-
septum pellucidum.
Septum pellucidum – thin
vertical sheet of nervous
tissue, (grey & white
matter).
Covered on either side by
ependyma.
