“The offering and liberation are cut off from the tample of the
Lord and in it the name of Mohammed is invoked continuously.”
“The faithful city has been made a whore; once the city of perfect
beauty, the joy of the whole world; justice used to dwell in her,
but now murderers; ....”
“The time has not yet come to build the house of the Lord! Is this
time for you to lies in ruins? My house lies in ruins and each of
you busy with his own house.”

“...the Lord orders us to raise the sign of the cross as the banner
of the highest king in the Zion, that is in the church of God, by
preaching the virtue of the cross, singing the praises of the cross
with the voice of the herald and inviting the people o take the
cross....”
“...Just as the tiger runs after the huanter in a wild chase and
follows his cub with such affection that it throws itself onto the
hunter’s spear, so Christ threw himself onto the spear of
death to snatch us from the hunter’s, that devil’s hand.”

land by himself with one word, he wants to honour his servants
and wants to have companions in its liberation, giving you
chance to save your souls

Theme is life of St. Paul and his suffering and interpretation of initial
Bible passages.
“Noone can serves two musters: he will eiher hate the one and love
the other or he will support and despite the other.”

“If we wanted, God could give us his blessing and a plenary

“Cross of Christ is the sword with which Chirist fought aganist the

of god. İt is given to you not only to believe in him but also to suffer
for him.
“My dearest people, throw off your sins, you take the cross or intend
take it. The lord will grand you victory over the enemies of the
Cristian people.”
“Today the Mongols intend and strive hard to destroy the Cristians
and to subject them to intolarable sevitude, but since the lord wants
to free his people from the hands of Mongols, he holds out the
golden sword to Judah so that he may defeat the opponents of his

The sermon about the invitation to take the cross.
“Was not the water sweetened by the wood? In these
words you are succinctly shown why you should take
the cross: by the taking of the cross all the bitterness of
the heart is sweetened by the wood of the cross.”
“I found women more bitter than death; Solomon.”
“Hurry to take it climb the palm tree with the spouse and
hold onto its fruit, the remission of sins and eternal life,
which our Lord Jesus Christ has designed to make for
us, who lives for ever and ever. “
8. Ideology of Sermons
First aim of preaching of the cross was to lead people away from their
sins. Potential Crusaders are as sinner crusade turned their sins away.
The idea is divideing socity into two the virtuous who supported the
crusade and non virtuous who did not.
All two author built up an image of crusders superior people.
The basic ideas and frameworks of crusade:
1. the crusedes were wars authorised and supported by god which could
be understood as contemprory version of old tastemant.
2. participating in the crusades was a form of religious devotation.
3. becoming crusade was a form of conversion to a more thoroughly
cristian life.
4. the most efficienty way of consequence of sins.
