As part of the BTEC Extended Media in Creative Media Production course, the
department is organising an educational visit to Berlinon the 28th of April until the
2nd of May 2014. This will be an opportunity to experience tours of;
Axel Springer Publishing House
Berlin Film Museum
Rundfunk Berlin-Brandenburg-RBB Tour
Berlin Wall
The students will also have some free time in Berlin and the tourist district.The cost
for the trip will be £327per student. This includes;
Return airfaresfrom Manchester to Berlinwith EasyJet
Accommodation at the Meininger Hotel Berlin Prenzlauer Berg (Bed AND
Breakfast)
Travel insurance (although E1 11 is still needed)
Overseas airport transfer
The cost does not include meals and other sightseeing activities therefore students
would need approximately £200 - £300 spending money.
There will be deposit of £60 required to secure your son/daughter a place on this
trip. We will need this before 15th of November as accommodation/plane tickets are
being provisionally held for us. A further payment of £80 will be due by 19th of
December 2013. The final balance will be due 3rd of March 2014.
This is our first trip to Berlin following previous successful visits to London and we
are confident that the students will find this trip very rewarding and great fun.
Please complete the slip enclosed and return at your earliest convenience or by 15th
of Novemberat the latest along with the deposit to confirm your son/daughters
place on the trip.
