This document analyzes and summarizes photographs taken for the cover and contents pages of a school magazine on English literature. For the cover photo, the author selected a photo showing three students smiling and making eye contact with the camera near a bookshelf, as it had good lighting, natural body language, and conveyed a warm, friendly atmosphere about the school. Photos without eye contact or with awkward poses were rejected. For the contents page, a photo of an older student mentoring a younger one was chosen to represent an article about mentoring, and another photo showing three students in an interesting layout was selected for its unique composition.
