How will we conduct audience research?
Focus Group: We have selected 5 people who form part of our primary
audience.
These 5 people will help us during four stages of our production as we will be
screening rough cuts and asking for their opinion on each detail that forms
part of the final outcome.

for ‘No mental condition’ or
‘Schizophrenia’.

•70% chose the plot should be
based around a trouble protagonist.

•70% preferred a scene-based opening sequence to a title-based.
•50% chose music as an important micro-element that builds up
suspense/ tension in Psychological thrillers.
•50% said they looked for an interesting plot and twist in the
storyline of a Psychological thriller
•70% expect to be shocked when the plot is revealed; they expect
the plot to be slowly revealed.
Additional findings:
•40% chose Leonardo Dicaprio as the actor they mostly associate with Psychological
Thrillers
•Memento and Shutter Island were the two most mentioned, favourite films.
