Michael S. Brugman’s most recent corporate assignment was as the leader of Client Growth and Segmentation for
SuperMedia where he and his team developed and implemented an approach that increased revenues by over
15% against a trend of -19% on high spend Client segments. Prior to this assignment, he was Local Insight
Media’s Program Management leader where he built, trained and implemented a PMO focused organization and
mindset to ensure that the company’s project portfolio would maximize resource utilization and ROI for the
business.
Prior to assuming this role, he led U. S. Digital and Directory Operations for Local Insight Media where he managed
teams in 4 offices in the United States and Dominican Republic. His responsibilities included all aspects of digital
and print product fulfillment and accuracy, process and system troubleshooting (during a system conversion), sales
awareness and partnering program development and solution formulation to ensure sales team and Client
satisfaction through good communication processes and accurate and timely delivery of products and services.
Before being asked to head up the US digital Operations, Brugman was appointed leader of the Client Marketing
and Digital Sales group leading three (3) customer facing organizations: Digital Sales, Client Touch Point
Management and Telco Client Relations where he increased sales effectiveness and produced Client satisfaction
with both small and very large Clients. This team produced over $2M in incremental revenue and increased YOY
retention by 10 percentage points.
Brugman joined Local Insight Media as the Leader of Marketing in May of 2007 where he led a team of over 40
marketing and sales professionals creating strategies and execution plans producing over $15 million in
incremental revenue and over $4.5M in cost saving synergies. From June 2003 through May 2007 he served
as the leader of Product Management for Dex Media/R. H. Donnelley where he and his team produced over $100
Million in incremental revenue from existing and new product development through sales rollout, training and
contingency planning and tracking. In addition, his team produced over $15 Million in cost saving synergies.
In addition to his incumbent media Sales and Marketing experience, he has also worked with independent media
companies, as a consultant, a top-level leader and as a principal/owner. Brugman earned a B.A. and an M.B.A.
from University of Louisiana. He has also attended continuing leadership training and development programs at
the Center of Creative Leadership in Colorado Springs as well as leadership development programs at Fuqua
School of Business at Duke University. In addition, he is a Graduate of Social Media Marketing University
specializing in social media, SEM, SEO, mobile and email marketing, an Authorized Google Adwords reseller,
Hootsuite Certified, and SuperMedia Elite Certified. Brugman, his wife and 3 children live near Dallas TX.
