Activities we will be doing in Preschool
 This week we will be focusing on the children’s early writing skills. We will
encourage them to have a go at writing their name and develop their
emergent writing skills by writing letters to the wolf, creating shopping
lists and writing notes to each other.
 Every week the children learn French with Christine. It is amazing to hear
them pronounce correctly some basic French words. They love having a
‘dip’ in the bag and naming the objects in French.
Activities to do at home
 Encourage your child’s writing skills by giving them lots of opportunities to
write and mark make. Lists, notes, cards, treasure hunts are all good ways
for them to develop their skills and confidence.
 See if your child can name you some colours in French. There are lots of
examples on You Tube of people naming basic items and colours. Learn
French with your child – language skills in today’s society are a real bonus
for everyone.
Notice
 Please let us have any coloured wellies your child may have grown out of
so we can use them to grow flowers in.
 We break up for half term, for one week, on Friday 26 May.
 Please bring in any Sainsbury’s vouchers you may have.
