2. DESERT
A desert is an endless stretch of sand. It is the hottest
and driest place on the earth. Its temperature is very hot.
A desert is generally without water and vegetation. It
have no rain and shelter. It may be too hot in the day and
too cold in the night. It have mountains and hills. It have
an oasis. It is very difficult to survive on the desert but
some animals like camel, snake, scorpio and some
plants like cactus, date palm can survive in the desert.
Camel is known as ‘ship of the desert’. Camel is very
useful to us in the desert. People use camels to carry
goods from one place to another place.

4. Sand Dunes – Some deserts are almost totally without
water. In such places, strong winds
blow
raising heaps of sand and depositing
them as mounds. These are called
‘sand
dunes’ that shift and move endlessly
across the desert.
