INVITATION OF STATE LEVEL ENERGY CONSERVATION
                   AWARD FOR THE YEAR 2011-12.


The Govt. of India has enacted Energy Conservation Act-2001 with the objective to provide a regulatory
framework for formulation and implementation of Energy Conservation strategy in the country for efficient
use of energy. This act has come into force with effect from 01-03-2002.

The Department of Renewable Energy, Haryana has prepared an Energy Conservation Action Plan which
has been approved by the Hon’ble CM, Haryana. One of the activities under this plan is to give awards to
those consumers of industrial, commercial and Govt. building sectors who have excelled in adopting
various energy consumption measures in their units/buildings to save electrical/fuel energy.

    1. Objectives of Scheme

    i)    To create awareness among the industrial, commercial and Govt.buildings sectors about energy
              conservation.
    ii)   To recognize the efforts of industrial, commercial and Govt. building sectors consumers in
              conserving energy by way of giving them awards/certificate of merit.

    CATEGORY OF STATE LEVEL AWARDS

    To encourage and motivate the industries to save the energy by way of adopting energy conservation
    measures. It is proposed to give State Level Awards for Excellence in Energy Conservation and
    Management for the following categories of consumers:

    (1) AWARDS FOR LARGE SCALE IND. (HAVING CONNECTED LOAD MORE THAN 1.00 MW)

    Prize Amount
    First Prize Rs. 200,000/- and a certificate and shield
    Second prize Rs. 1, 00,000/- and a certificate and shield
    Third prize Rs. 50,000/- and a certificate and shield

    (2) AWARDS FOR SMALL SCALE IND. (HAVING CONNECTED LOAD LESS THAN 1.00 MW)

    Prize Amount
    First Prize Rs. 100,000/- and a certificate and shield
    Second prize Rs. 50,000/- and a certificate and shield

    (3) AWARDS FOR GOVT. /SEMI GOVT. INSTITUTION & BODIES

    Prize Amount
    First Prize Rs. 200,000/- and a certificate and shield
    Second prize Rs. 1, 00,000/- and a certificate and shield

    (4) AWARDS FOR EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTION

    Prize Amount
    First Prize Rs. 100,000/- and a certificate and shield
    Second prize Rs. 50,000/- and a certificate and shield
    Third prize Rs. 25,000/- and a certificate and shield
(5) AWARDS FOR COMMERCIAL BUILDIGNS (HOTELS/HOSPITALS AND SHOPPING
    MALLS/PLAZAS)

Prize Amount
First Prize Rs. 100,000/- and a certificate and shield
Second prize Rs. 50,000/- and a certificate and shield
Third prize Rs. 25,000/- and a certificate and shield

OTHER CONDITIONS

(a) Interested applicants of industrial/commercial/Govt. building sector are required to give their
                                                                        st           st
    energy/fuel consumption data of the last three years (i.e. from 1 January to 31 December of
    2007, 2008 and 2009). The applicants are also required to attach attested copies of their
    electricity/fuel consumption bills of these three years with their applications.

(b) The applicant establishment / consumers should also submit their annual energy audit report of
    these three years. Such reports should have been got prepared from any of the approved
    empanelled energy auditors of Bureau of Energy Efficiency, Govt. of India/PCRA, Govt. of India.


Nomination for State Level Energy Conservation Award for The year 2011-12 can be submitted to the
Additional Deputy Commissioner, Gurgaon latest by 20.03.2013 in the prescribed formats. The
formats can downloaded from the website www.hareda.gov.in other conditions are also available on
the website.
