Neal Larkin is the Executive Director of Experience Design at Mckinsey & Co. with over a decade of experience in consulting, design, technology, business operations, and global team management. Neal is an ex-frog and has led client-facing design engagements for various industries. He was one of the managing partners from carbon12, a digital agency recently acquired by McKinsey, where he helped build design teams in the US, Europe, and Kiev to serve clients across the globe. In his spare time, Neal is a cross-fit junkie and is easily spotted by his multi-colored socks and hipster shoes. SPEAKER BIOS Mary Lan is an the Director of Experience Design at Mckinsey & Co. where she takes companies from concept to launch by defining their digital strategy, and directing the execution of research, implementation, and path to optimization. She has been leading UX initiatives for Fortune 100 companies for two decades and has won several design awards in that time. Mary is also a Design Thinking facilitator and international speaker, and is passionate about gender equality in tech. In her spare time, she is learning how to play the ukulele, but has been advised to keep her day job.
  3. 3. We asked 100 of the world’s top design leaders 3 questions and tabulated their responses. Their answers revealed extraordinary insights about design past, present, and future. In our session, we share their words of wisdom and practical tips for designers facing similar challenges. (Questions will be revealed after tabulation to migitate infringement)
  4. 4. This work is part of a larger book project that we are looking to publish by 2018. We’re excited for the opportunity to debut our findings for the SXSW Interactive community. Please vote for our panel!
