When Asking for a Contribution
1. Justify the immediacy of your organization’s needs.
2. Communicate the impact the gift will have toward meeting needs.
3. Emphasize a variety of gift opportunities.
4. Do this all succinctly and directly. Keep it simple.
5. Convey sincerity and gratitude.
6. Be flexible in terms of payment schedules.
7. Consider different types of assets—not just cash.
8. Go with flow for what’s best for the donor’s circumstances.
