Reasonable Domain & Range As opposed to mathematical domain and range
Mathematical domain vs Reasonable domain Mathematical Domain – The set of all possible values of the independent variable. Reasonable Domain – The set of all possible values of the independent variable that make sense for the given situation.
Mathematical Range vs Reasonable Range Mathematical Range The set of all possible values of the dependent variable. Reasonable Range – The set of all possible values of the dependent variable that make sense for the given situation.
Samantha has an average of 85 on 5 history tests. She wants to have an overall average of at least 88. What is a reasonable domain for the score she needs to get on her next two tests to raise her test average to 88?
