Aside from their funeral rites, theTagbanuas of Palawan also havefestivals.
One of these is called theMACASLA festival. This is donethrough music,
dance and feast.

6. • The musical instruments of the Tagbanuas consists of drums with sharkskin heads (gimbal). It leads
theensemble and has a preparatory rhythm,falling into an ostinato. Bamboo flutes(beberak), jew’s harp
(aroding), guitarsand banjos are also used.
