1. Mary – the woman who was engaged to be married to
Joseph.
Luke 1:26-38 Welcome word “ Behold I am the servant of
the Lord let it be to me according to your word “
- She could have refused but she did not think of her
own that she will be the talk of the town, people will
judge her to be unfaithful or the worse Joseph will no
longer be interested to marry her
5. Let Us Welcome Him
2. Joseph – although at first he had planned to
break his engagement to Mary, but believed the
message of the Lord on his dream.

He did not regard what will people tell him,
marrying a pregnant woman and his plan shifted to
God’s plan

3. Shepherds – they were very busy watching
their flock but when the angel came to them
they received the message with gladness

Shepherds in old times are the outcast of the
society but they were chosen to hear the good
news about the birth of Jesus. They felt
accepted for the first time

4. The wise men – these 3 wise individuals obtain title
of their own. They were known and very important
people. They were famous for their learning and their
wisdom that they can trust the direction to Bethlehem
by star.
- With all wisdom and richest they believed about the
birth of Jesus, they could have just wait but they
decided to travel from a far, they also discerned Herod’s
plot to kill Jesus.

Jesus
1. With faith ( Hebrews 11:1;11:6 )
Hebrews 11:1 ( NIV ) “ Now faith is the confidence
in what we hope for and the assurance about we do
not see “
Hebrews 11:6 ( NIV ) “ And without faith it is
impossible to please God, because anyone who
comes to Him must believe that He exists and that
He rewards those who earnestly seek Him “

2. With humility – ( Proverbs 29:23;22:4 )
Proverbs 22:4 ( NIV ) “ Humility is the fear of the
Lord’ its wages are riches and honor and life “
Proverbs 29:23 ( NIV ) Pride brings a person low, but
lowly in the spirit gain honor “

3. With worship ( Matthew 2:2 )
Matthew 2:2 “ and asked “ Where is the one who has
been born king of Jews? We saw his star when it rose
and have come to worship Him “

4. With offering ( Matthew 2:11 )
Matthew 2:11 ( NIV ) “ On coming to the house, they saw
the child with his mother Mary and they bowed down and
worshiped him. Then they opened the treasures and
presented him with gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh.
The gifts that was offered were valuable items standard to
honor the king
Gold - a precious metal
Frankincense – expensive perfume or incense
Myrrh – expensive anointing oil king of Jews? We saw his
star when it rose and have come to worship Him
12. Let us Welcome Him
Point to ponder:
How will you welcome Him today
Will you be Mary who will not mind what other people say
as long as she will be obeying the word
Will you be Joseph who received the embarrassment of
marrying a pregnant woman but will give glory to Jesus,
not plan Lord but yours
Will you be the shepherds that they might not have their
wages for the night leaving the flock to follow
Will you be the wise men who were humble enough to
travel from a far and humbly bow down and worship Jesus
