erhaps this tittle can create confronta-
tion among electronic music and rock
fans. But letās see why a lot of experts
are discussing it. Rock music emerged
in the 50ās in the states. Since this times is pres-
ent in our music culture and a lot of people has
listened, is listening and will listen to it, but not
with the same popularity that this music had in
the past. In fact, rock music is more than music.
Thereās a culture between rock, during its gold
decade moved a lot of people and generat-
ed a lot of money. But nowadays thereās a new
exponent in the music world: the electronic
music. This genre exists since the beginning of
20th century but its popularity raised up in the
70ās. Like the rock music, it has a lot of subge-
nres. But House music and all the variants that
it has are the more popular. House was born in
the States, like Rock, concretely in Chicago and
Detroit. So, in fact these two genres had lived
together. But rock music was more popular un-
til the start of 21th century. However today this
is different. In the past DJs were only the peo-
ple who played music in a club, and the rock-
stars were the most well-known musicians.

12. H
ans Zimmer is considered one of the
best music composers, nowadays, on
the cinema, he is also a pioneer of the
integration of electronic music.
He was born in Frankfurt, Germany in 1957 and
he started to play the piano when he was a child.
After that, he moved to London to collaborate
with his mentor, Stanley Myers.
In 1988, he was nominated for the Best
Soundtrack at The Oscars for his work in Rain
Man which won the Best Film award that year.
In that point, cinemaās world realized about his
work and focus on the youngest composer of
that time. He was able to adapt his music com-
positions to any kind of film he was required.
At the beginnings of the 90s, he was absolutely
known as a famous composer. That was shown,
thanks to his work with Walt Disney in 1994,
when he won an Oscar from the Academy for his
work in the Lion King which was all directed and
produced by him.

14. The story about a victorious general, Maximus Decimus Meridias,
who was named keeper of Rome and after a huge betrayal becomes
a gladiator.
R
idley Scott is the director of one of the most
amazing and emotional films that mankind
have ever seen.
Firstly, the film shows a Roman Emperor,
Marcus Aurelius (Richard Harris), who
is tired and regrets that, while he has
been the Emperor, his people has had
only four years of peace. He believes
that a new Roma can be created by one
of the most brave and loyal general of
his army, Maximus Decimus Meridio
(Russell Crowe). His son, Comodo Aure-
lius (Joaquin Phoenix), who is full of jealousy, decides
to make an accurate plan to get the empire beneath
his power.
T
here are several parts in the film that touch our
feelings. An awesome stuff of this film is to raise
different kinds of feelings like sadness, happi-
ness, love or others that make you empathize
with the main character.
Nevertheless, thatās not all. This film has a
beautiful soundtrack that, regarding the
last paragraph, makes this film become
one of the best films that cinema has ever
seen.As a drawback, the story is too long
and probably Ridley Scott might have made
it a bit shorter. To sum up, a film to see be-
cause the topic of Middle Earth and Romaās Empire is so
amazing for people who enjoy it.

15. T
his is a science-fiction and drama film direct-
ed by Christopher Nolan, with a cast led by
Leonardo DiCaprio, as Dom Cobb, Joseph
Gordon-Levitt as Arthur and Ellen Page as
Ariadne. These three characters with new
high technology can induce a dream in
people. Also they are who plan and man-
age all the dreams. All the dreams are
managed by their subconscious and the
induced person. In the film characters
have to deal with a difficult mission. That
mission consist of introducing information
into a mind, the most difficult thing to do in this spe-
ciality.
T
he director, Christopher Nolan has the difficulty
to make real a thing that is impossible in real life
control dreams, but he finally can do it success-
fully.
Clearly, the best thing that we can see,
on the film is the incredible soundtrack
by Hans Zimmer. His composition makes
a lot of sensations and creates a really
good atmosphere. In summary it is mar-
vellous.
Maybe the only bad point, but not that
bad, is the end, which is so fast and possi-
bly, for some spectators, is not too clear.
The end leaves the sensation that maybe Cobb is even in
a dream. So to verify that youād better see the film and
draw your own conclusion.

This Story tells how Dom Cobb and his team go into the dreams to
steal or have information.
