2015 was a remarkable year for our school districts and I am very proud
of how our community came together to provide key resources to aid in
their success. We are committed to work hand in hand with all stakehold-
ers to increase support for our education community.
The Schools Foundation’s purpose is to bridge community leaders,
the business community and our schools. We accomplish this through
providing enhanced professional development and learning opportunities
for our principals and teachers which directly impacts student success.
These opportunities are made available through this community’s out-
standing philanthropic support. In 2016, we will continue to broaden the
support for public education through the establishment of an endowment
to support our schools in perpetuity. We will also focus on increasing pub-
lic awareness, commitment and engagement for our schools.

We are committed to work hand in hand with all stakehold- ers to increase support for our education community. The Schools Foundation’s purpose is to bridge community leaders, the business community and our schools. We accomplish this through providing enhanced professional development and learning opportunities for our principals and teachers which directly impacts student success. These opportunities are made available through this community’s out- standing philanthropic support. In 2016, we will continue to broaden the support for public education through the establishment of an endowment to support our schools in perpetuity. We will also focus on increasing pub- lic awareness, commitment and engagement for our schools. As Dr. Wernher von Braun stated, “Opportunity goes where the best people go, and the best people go where education goes.” Sincerely, Elizabeth Dotts Fleming Executive Director From the Executive Director What we do Huntsville City Schools Dr. Casey Wardynski SUPERINTENDENT 23,827 SY15/16 ENROLLMENT huntsvillecityschools.org Madison County Schools Mr. Matt Massey SUPERINTENDENT 19,452 SY15/16 ENROLLMENT madison.k12.al.us 256-535-2080 theschoolsfoundation.org P.O. I can honestly say that it revolutionized my teaching.” - Stephanie Hyatt, Huntsville City Schools, AP English “Each LTF training I have attended has been increasingly helpful in deep- ening my understanding of increased rigor in the classroom. This training has provided me with practical tools, resources and challenging lessons that I have been able to immediately implement in my classroom. I can say, without reservation, that LTF has helped me become a better teacher.” - Kim Wilson, Madison City Schools, Pre-AP English 9 Principally Speaking Network A+ College Ready Laying the Foundation Education Advocacy Thanks to our contributors!
