classified as follows
 Direction control valve : To change
the direction of the flow of fluid.
 Pressure control valve : To control
the pressure of the fluid in the
system.
 Flow control valve : To adjust the
flow rate of fluid.

pressure , flow rate and direction of the
fluid.
 Hydraulic valves are made from strong
materials , e.g. Steel and are precision
manufactured. (High Pr. Range)
 Pneumatic valves are made from
cheaper material , e.g. aluminum and
polymer and cheaper to manufacture.
