Social Media Love Story for Brands
1. Social media love story
10 steps for brands and
businesses to get their
customers’ hearts beating
faster using social media.
LOGIC
2. So you want the perfect love story ?
Empathy, passion, love.
This is what Social Media
is all about.
This is where relationships
begin and grow. It’s the
perfect place to start an
endless love story with
your clients. But…
SO LOGIC
3. Don’t start by the end
Before spending money
on tools and tactics, you
will need an audience
and a strategy to reach
out to it. And you must
ensure that this strategy
will fit your targeted
audience tastes.
SO LOGIC
4. First, you need to date
To be successful on
social media, you will
need to seduce your
audience. You must :
• Listen
• Engage
• Measure
SO LOGIC
5. Don’t ask for sex (on the first date)
Social Media has
nothing to do with
commerce. Sales growth
will be a consequence
of your relationship in
social media, not its
objective. Your first ROI
will be involvement.
SO LOGIC
6. Prepare to show your involvement
Engaging requires a movement from both parts. If
you want your audience to come to you, you have
to come to it too. Do you have what it takes ?
SO LOGIC
7. Feeling too shy ? Don’t know how ?
Then follow our
10 steps guide
to seduction on
social networks
;)
SO LOGIC
8. Step 1 : Accept being alone
Forget about fans adders
programs or « succeed in
SoMe jungle how-tos ».
Some can be inspiring. But
your business is unique,
and so will be your
successful social media
strategy. You will have to
build it from scratch.
SO LOGIC
9. Step 2 : Get a life !
If you want to be attractive,
you must know your strengths
and weaknesses well. Build a
dashboard with your most
important KPIs. Include your
customers voice and market
watch. Think quantity and
quality. Keep it simple and
share it across your whole
organisation.
SO LOGIC
10. Tip : Read Avinash Kaushik’s books to build your
ultimate high impact dashboard
SO LOGIC
11. Step 3 : Dream your future
Think long term. Where
do you want to be in the
future ? Who will be your
ideal customer ? Define
your goals and share
them to have everybody
looking in the same
direction.
SO LOGIC
12. Step 4 : Segment your tastes
Black or white shirt ? Blondes
or brunettes ? Never try to
seduce everybody at the
same time. Interact with your
customers to find the most
relevant common interests
or characteristics they share.
The stronger, the better.
SO LOGIC
13. Tip : If he can segment his targets, you can !
SO LOGIC
14. Step 5 : Go fishing where fishes are
Immerge yourself in the
web like your targets.
Search Google like
them, find where they
gathers and what they
talk about.
And do this for all your
target segments.
SO LOGIC
15. Step 6 : Offer free hugs
Indentify the most
involved people, and
those ready to engage.
Introduce yourself (not
your business, yourself).
Show them you are here
and willing to interact
with them.
SO LOGIC
16. Step 7 : Watch your step
Now, you know who is
attracted by you and
why. But it will require
time and efforts to reach
the light with them. Do it
step by step. For each
step, set goals that are
measurable, within
reach and limited in
time.
Tip : failing to plan is
planning to #FAIL
(Brian Solis – FutureWorks)
SO LOGIC
17. Step 8 : Tense your muscles
Gather the necessary
resources to climb the
first step. You will need
people inside and
outside your company,
a bit of technology, and
an adequate budget.
But remember to keep
forces for the next step.
SO LOGIC
18. Step 9 : Go out and experiment
It is time to prove your
engagement and
creativity. Take the
plunge. Propose ideas,
content, actions. Do
things if you feel they will
fit. Co-create with your
audience to reduce risks,
but don’t be afraid of Tip : The only rule you
failures. Learn from them. should remind about
social media is
« Learning by doing »
SO LOGIC
19. Step 10 : Perk up your ears
The social media
landscape is endlessly
moving. So will your
SoMe strategy. Keep
listening and measuring
to adapt. Stay open-
minded. Think about
serendipity. Who knows
where your encounters
will lead you ?
SO LOGIC
20. Bonus tip : Show her she is SO special
A successful social media
presence is not when you
talk to people on hip
networks. It is when people
talk about you, wherever
they want. Let them go.
Give them your best
opportunities. Empower
them. Then listen and
prepare to react.
SO LOGIC
21. Get ready for take-off
Tip : Your ability to act and react
promptly and smartly is the key
to an unforgettable honeymoon
SO LOGIC
23. Social media is like teen sex.

Everyone wants to do it. Nobody knows how.
When it’s finally done, there is surprise it’s not better
