ABOUT WORLDCHANGERS IN TECH
In September 2015, a UN Summit launched the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and its 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) with a vision to radically improve our lives, end poverty, protect the planet and ensure prosperity for all. Not only the social and environmental, but also the economic benefits are overwhelming in their estimates. Yet, with the current pace of progress, it is completely impossible to meet the targets by 2030. At GERMANTECH, we strongly believe that entrepreneurship is the most powerful way to innovate and technology is a critical enabler in developing solutions to the most urgent problems our society faces.
Every month, we organize WORLDCHANGERS IN TECH Meetups and WORLDCHANGERS IN TECH Open Lectures with a mission to educate society on positive aspects of technology and entrepreneurship and to enable and facilitate a discussion among diverse stakeholders on tech solutions that contribute to a more sustainable future. We mark each event by one of the UN SDGs to show our commitment to the 2030 Agenda.
