Talk-3 The ignorance in yoga metaphorically lined to darkness and knowledge to light. The
darkness is absence of light. The darkness has no separate existence in life. There is only one
thing – either knowledge governs the life or not. When it does not govern the life, it is
ignorance. Ignorance is the cause of all stress and sufferings in life unlike the proverb which says,
‘ignorance is bliss’.
Yoga says that knowledge is power that manifests bliss in life. The bliss is independent state of
happiness and has unbroken continuity.
The ignorance moves life at unconscious, subconscious, habitual levels. They are conditioning
of the mind. They create comfort zone and repeats by itself., hence needs to be removed.
