Creating eBooks
Pinterest is like a virtual bulletin or cork board that allows
users to find and curate images and videos.
Note Taking App PaperPort!
Some of us brainstorm using text. Others visualize
new ideas by doodling or drawing. Still others
process out loud.
Every great thinker, artist, and inventor has a
sketchbook to capture their inspiration anywhere,
anytime a new idea strikes.
Paperport Notes allows users to import documents
(e.g. PDF, Word Doc, PowerPoint, JPEG and
more) then edit, annotate, draw, insert additional
images and highlight on the document. Users can
also insert images from their camera roll or
capture a snapshot from a webpage.
Advanced features allow users to create audio
recordings that are saved into each page,
bookmark notes for quick return access, and
convert an image of text into an editable textbox.
After users creates a note, it is saved automatically
and can be shared as a PDF or jpeg using email,
Google Drive, Box, Dropbox, Camera Roll, or with
another

Hinweis der Redaktion

  1. In this session I would like to explore the apps that I have use and are available for creativity, instruction and curriculum areas.
  2. The trend in the past year of iPad usage is slowly moving towards using the iPad as a creation device, as opposed to just a consumption device. More and more people I know are creating great material with iPads
  3. iMovie can bring your lessons to life through video, sound, and picture It is a powerful and highly engaging tool for students to share their knowledge and express themselves in multimedia form iMovie can open many doors in your classroom for students to use their 21st century skills of communication, collaboration, creativity and critical thinking along with using technology It promotes collective knowledge construction and individual reflection It offers a variety of backgrounds and experiences to engage students.
  4. What it teaches and how it worksapp. This app is offered by an amazing company, Nuance, makers of Dragon Dictation, so the speech to text features work beautifully. It's clean and intuitive, yet has a lot of helpful features Students can draw ideas, type ideas, or speak ideas with this app using the pen tool, type tool, or the microphone. It not only captures group brainstorming sessions that can be played back as an audio file, but it also has fantastic speech to text capabilities. Imagine the freedom of speaking your thoughts into a virtual sticky note. Although the sketchbook approach to brainstorming is usually used individually by students, students brainstorming as a group can use the built in microphone of their notebook to capture a group session. Sometimes capturing voice only (without taking the time to scribe) is the best way to build a "storming" type momentum in a brainstorming session. A digital notebook with a microphone does that very well. If your student likes the idea of drawing, this is best done with a graphics tablet (like a Bamboo tablet). PaperPorts export of Audio files uses iTunes Sharing, so if flexible audio export is an important feature, then you might consider other multimodal notebooks such as (Notability $.99) or (Catch - free, but lacking the doodling pen). Why your kid won't be able to put it down Staying organized is a growing challenge as students approach middle school where they often move from classroom to classroom, and have multiple teachers on any given day. Having a single place to organize all their ideas, whether generated during individual quiet times or as part of a classroom group brainstorming activity, will not only save them time, but contribute to their success. This will help especially when they discover the various ways to use the apps that best match the way their brain naturally works.
