5. GodRebels’ Cry of our time:
"NO Organized Religion Pu-lease !!"
Independent thought was my "God" (or so I thought)... and for me, truth is a cherished priority, yet
my own rebellion had become a prejudice against religion-- I had to let go to the Open Mind, truly the Supreme
Healer. Take what you will from all of this, and leave the rest or salt it down, for my own ego, I have found is not so
easily talked down.

6. The Language of Religion
"Thee"s, "Thou"s & $%@#! and O those “Wordy- Words!"
The Great Teachers of the Faiths have seen their teachings last a thousand years and more, much more.
Truly they have been as one, one of a kind and wholly unique in much of human history and faith.
The Prophets came to us as Lights of Unity, and spoke of that most freely. They never meant an end to the
story of their revelations. In the egos of the rulers, that path and Those Great Lights have been misrepresented
and misunderstood by many ’til today.
The Ones who taught with love, they say, had a personal, direct connection with the Great Reality of life.
They were, perhaps, the “geniuses of Soul” and knew, indeed, that such a force as that, of Higher mind in human
form would not appear again for some thousand years or more.

7. Would you as friend of Spirit, think of these ideas as offering, perhaps, a little bit of possibility?
The Prophets of religion were, indeed, amazing, a fact that’s undisputed even by the rebels of their
times. How many people’s stories have lasted beyond millenniums of time, helping humankind at least for
part of that before the ways of men took over with their greed and twisted teachings?
If you and others also thought you had something most vital and phenomenal to share, would you perhaps
choose yourself a way of writing that had a sense of grandeur to express the feeling of power, strength and
feeling?
That’s the way these things may look in the eyes of Prophets and amazing Beings of the Higher Power.

8. If you wanted something to last 1,000 years, what language would you choose to write or speak in?
In a thousand years the language you have used will likely undergo drastic, major changes, and that will be a
problem. The challenge is even more in one who speaks in the style and slang of the current time and day.
Could it be more likely that you’d choose a classic form of speech, a language that has lasted and may last
another thousand years?
Like a foreign accent, words of the classic kind may sound quite strange at first, and yet if we write them off
without a hearing, bowing to the twisting of usurpers, we may end up to be the loser.
Shall I Open to the Words that may be Wise? I may want to look again, and think.

9. We take the time to learn what matters to us: appreciation of certain kinds of music, or art, forgiving the first
bitter taste of an alcoholic drink, or perhaps in meeting up with subjects that pose a challenge, like physics or the
workings of a computer or a car.
To learn anything takes time, acceptance and the willingness to learn the "lingo". The nuances of poetry or the
arts, as in writing styles and doctrines of the scholars must be read in context with a bigger picture and an
understanding of the terms in use. If we write off anything before investigating, it is likely we will never
understand it well enough to know what we may be missing. In matters of the Spirit, the “jargon” for true
understanding often will include the use of both the head and heart.
If we rise to such a challenge we may well be enriched, in education and in thought.
Would you as friend of Spirit, think of this as offering, perhaps, a bit of possibility?

10. The scriptures of the faiths of earth have helped me and many others, even in rebellion,
learn to be Humble, Kindly and Teachable, keeping with the Truth of who I am—
Finite, Fallible, and "Human", yet graced with the Power of Reason.

11. Scripture & Sexism
> Is God A Sexist?
In the rules of English, "he" is often meant to include "she". But I, a modern woman, have felt
the rules of grammar should be changed. ‘Til then, I have to live with language shaped by men in
all of life, not only just religious wording.
Will I let human mis-applications, as in the grammar Gods and holy but unholy expressions turn
my face from truth? For myself, I choose not to turn away.
Instead, may I seek for other, hidden truths beyond my present understanding
that has been steeped so long in angry, ingrained protest.

12. Powerful woman I—
No way will I let anything, whether big or small,
keep me from the great or monumental Godliness that I and all the world must grasp.
Spirit (I believe) speaks through no gender,
or perhaps through and beyond all gender.

13. Powerful woman I—
I will do anything to hold close to Higher Spirit and the truth that it may hold.
Whether I change the gender in my readings or in the speeches of the Holy Ones to
myself, for my inmost private knowing* that helps me weather Spirit’s way of speaking in the
constraints of man- made language. My way of coping does not matter nearly so much as my
loyalty to Spirit and my growing into Spirit and Her ways in the best that I can do.
The Greater Spirit- world, I know, lives and knows far beyond this world and gender
designations. Our souls are male and female both at heart, so of what concern this simple
slight, for me could be in the eyes of the Great Eternal Scheme of things.

14. To know Spirit, to me,
is a greater compensation than anything this mortal world can bring.
May all my earthly woman-hood truly serve me well that I may thrive in Spirit, in spite of of
mankind's man-made grammar!! Words like "He" or “Him” to speak of God or Spirit now for
me holds but little of pain or felt transgression, for I’ve found the place within that knows--
My Soul knows Deeply this:
That "God" or Goddess or "Source"-- and surely I myself, in Heart & Spirit,
in our essence are free of form, gender-free and genderless
Far greater than any "He" or "She" or It...

15. Grateful, I myself feel freedom from all that gender once had meant to me,
I know now inside the deepest place of me that all of us have qualities of both sexes,
I know that Spirit knows that too and that is what it means when using gender terms.
Constraints of modern language mean nothing to the soul or to God’s own strength and Beauty.
Freed, as I may be at times today, from old conflicts with the gods or God
or faith and the religions, I get to be in a place to learn and
Truly trust, holding to a Higher voice and calling, freed of Earthly bounds.

16. All the answers to my questions are not yet mine, or ours as we may know, but I can trust
that they will come in proper time. Inside me there’s a Peace that knows my hurts are healed in
wholeness.
When I let go of old ideas I can let the healing in., and recognize it when it comes.
Spirit is not “out to get me”, but wants me to be happy. Supremely happy if I may, and
today I understand that. That is a great event for me helping me to have the patience to live in
the unknowing, unsure place that keeps me teachable. I may not have all answers, but at least I
know that God or Good or Spirit has them. When I stay in the place of open mind, I will hear my
soul most clearly as it calls me home to Spirit.
