This report coincides with the availability of

This new edition, the first for the year, further
establishes us as the largest and most reputable
Facebook benchmarking tool in Australia. Previous
editions, including the inaugural Annual Facebook
Report and Awards back in December, have
reached over 1 million people.
Using data from Social Pulse™ and information
analysed by the Online Circle Digital Data team,
the Facebook Report provides success benchmarks
to increase your understanding of the strategies
and tactics behind some of Australia’s most
successful Facebook brand pages.

What’s changed?
We have expanded our coverage of the Australian
industry and carefully watched all the latest
developments at Facebook. This will be the last
report to rely on People Talking About as an
engagement metric. Facebook has decided to
deprecate this compound public metric in the
coming months, in favour of more precise metrics.
These new measurements are already part of
Social Pulse™ and will power the next report.
The macro level trends you will find inside the
report are a repetition and strengthening of the
trends from our last edition. Media pages continue
to gain ground with expanded audience and
great engagement. The Radio industry, already
a highlight back in December, has more than
quadrupled its average engagement and leads the
pack by a wide margin (page 5).
More than ever, fresh and sharp content is a
requirement to conquer user attention.
