After logging in to Moodle, click on the course in which you want to send an email using Quickmail.
In this case, we click on Demo Course.

You can use Quickmail to send emails, with or without attachments, to individual course participants
or to all course participants at once.

Click on Compose in the Quickmail block to start a new email.

On the Compose page, you can see a recipient list which shows the course participants whom you can send emails to.

If Group Mode has been enabled by your teacher, the course participants will be arranged according to their groups.

In this example, Group Mode has not been enabled (i.e. Quickmail is in No group mode).

You can click on Select all to select all course participants at once.

All course participants are then selected, including the teacher.

If you want to deselect all selected recipients, simply click on Deselect all.

Then all course participants are deselected.

You can also select individual course participants by checking the boxes next to their names.
In this case, STUDENT02, STUDENT04 and STUDENT06 are selected.

Next, input the subject of the email into the Subject field.

In this case, we type in “Journal”.

Then input the content of the email into the Message field.

To add an attachment to the email, click on the Browse... button to choose the file
to be attached to the email from your computer.

In this case, the file Journal A.pdf is attached.

Please note that although Quickmail automatically saves a copy of an email in the History archive after sending it out,
attachments of the email will not saved.You should therefore include your email in the recipient list
so that you can keep a copy of the email as well as its attachments at your HKIEd email account.

Finally, click on the Send Email button at the bottom of the page to finish.

A confirmation message will be shown. Then click on the Continue button to return to the course’s front page.

Quickmail automatically keeps a record of your sent email.You can find the record on the History page.
