[object Object],Trade led to an integration of many different cultures and civilizations. Many common items in one civilization were fascinating and often very valuable in others. Most rulers allowed traders from all religions to pass within their borders as long as they were compensated. While many wars took place during the time, most were land based and could be bypassed via ocean.
