user-friendly fantasy sports program for a

encourage people to frequent their
favorite local establishment weekly. FS

When RosaMexicana decided to
refresh their presence on the web,
they requested the design incorporate
elements of their unique restaurant

their blue-tiled waterfall walls, Aztec

Application Design
e|tab Dining Application
Interface
e|tab, a proprietary hardware/software
hybrid, represents the beginning of a
paradigm shift in the world of casual
dining. Integrating seamlessly with a
restaurant’s existing POS system,
e|tab acts as an extension technology
that affords luxuries from self-service
ordering, entertainment and social
networking to a rewards program and
card-swipe checkout; all right at the
table. e|tab hired me to update their
under performing interface design.
I re-created the entire user experience
from start to finish.

anytime. anywhere. missouri professionals mutual will
be there, protecting you and advocating on behalf of
physicians across the state.
We recognize you have many options for professional liability insurance.
That’s why each of us at MPM has committed ourselves to be there
when you need us. For the fourth straight year, your confidence in
MPM has earned us the status of being the #1 medical professional
liability insurance provider in the state. This position of strength is
good for you, good for MPM and good for the industry.
I am pleased to report that 2007 has been another successful year for our physician members.
MPM enjoyed more than $41 million in written premiums in 2007. Our investment growth
was consistent and exceeded average rates of return. Our premiums remained steady and
competitive, and our claims management processes continue to exceed state averages; both in
closing time and lower than average indemnity payments. Additionally, we have maintained
one of the lowest expense ratios in the marketplace, with 70 percent of premium dollars
allocated to defend and pay claims.
MPM takes pride in our transparency of operations and financial information. We welcome
conversation about important issues that impact your decisions. When questions arise or
when competitors challenge our strength, we encourage you and all physicians in Missouri to
talk directly with us and get the answers you need. As a leader in the market, we have come
to expect challenges from our detractors. You should, likewise, expect that the company you
have selected to protect you will be there with solid answers to those challenges.
With more than 30 years experience in the insurance business, I am a passionate advocate
for putting physicians back in control and influencing the healthcare industry in a way
that enables you to provide patients with the care they need and deserve. We have great
confidence in this business and confidence that our collective voice will be a force of
change for better healthcare in Missouri.

careful, deliberate investment is the backbone of our
financial strategy.
This exacting approach to finance has resulted in admitted assets of over $68 million for
2007. We are diligent about safeguarding member capital while investing premiums and
reserves in U. S. Government Agency Securities that are rated AAA. It is our pleasure to
report that income has remained consistent, with 2007 direct premiums of over $41 million.
We also maintained a policyholder surplus of more than $9 million, which has silenced
even our loudest critics.
