really encourage them to purchase the album, with the well known

music selling websites can perhaps offer.

represents that the artist has social media to interact with fans.
Users can use these links to follow the artist. Also, on the top of
the page there is a link to the iTunes page in where purchases can
also be made. Furthermore, statistic from social network sites have
been viewed to appeal to the target audience.
These 2 websites are
both different and
appeal to 2 different
target audiences.
Both websites have
consistency throughout
the website when the
user is navigating
themselves through the
website.

green and black,
following the colour
scheme of the album
digipak which means
that website is following
a similar consistency to
make sure that when
promoting the album on
the website it doesn’t
look odd and random.
Iggy Azalea’s website is more like a collage type website where all

the top so that the target audience can recognise who’s
page they have visited.
Underneath there a row of social media logos which have
been linked to the artists account, furthermore it also
makes the webpage more professional looking, rather
than having a long list of which social media account Ed
Sheeran has.
Since the internet revolution, people from across
the globe have the opportunity to communicate
with other people around the world. These flags on
he website shows that Ed Sheeran is world wide
famous star in which many countries have got a

‘Ed Sheeran’.This gives the
webpage a more of a
consistency rather than
having everything in
different fonts and colours
which would not look as
professional as having a
colour scheme and 1 main
font.
4. MagazineAdvert
• This advert of Marina and the Diamonds’ album is a full page magazine
ad. This ad is very effective as it’s simple and not to ‘over the top’ which
appeals to the eye. The image of Marina has got her looking into the
camera (Direct Address) as it appeal and gets the attention of the reader.
The text ‘The Family Jewels, Marina and the Diamonds’ is positioned
above the image, in a different font and is bold. There is a theme of
‘vintage’ in the advert, which may give away the genre of the music and
the artist.
• The image of the album is at the bottom of the page and visible, with text
next to it supporting the image. ‘featuring the single…’ makes sure that
the reader is familiar to this artist and their songs.
5. Digipak
• The large image of Rihanna inside the digipak indicated the
emotions and feelings Rihanna has, furthermore the use of roses
and nature gives the image a more busy and a beautiful image
appealing to the audience.
• The outfit worn by Rihanna is all feminine and lustrous compared
to her other side of rebellious clothing with dark make up. This
shows that Rihanna is maybe trying to indicate the ‘girly’ side of her
to her fans and expressing her emotions in this album through
being more of a ‘good girl’
The CD front cover has a close up image of Rihanna. The
whole image shows her calm and relaxed while she is looking
down. The boldness of her red lips and hair gives her more
attention. There is some sort of passion in which the audience
gets due to the her facial language and the pinkish filter in the
image which is very calming.
The CD has got an image of a rose, which signifies passion
and love which indicates the album features Rihanna
expressing her love and her beauty showing. Feminine
colours have been used to appeal to female audience with the
different shades of pink.
The typography used inside the digipak and on the front cover
is very simple. The artist name ‘Rihanna’ features on the top
with the letters spread-out and taking up the whole width of
the cover, and the album name ‘Loud’ is positioned at the
bottom in bigger letters and spread out, once again taking up
the width of the front cover.
