*Clinical Social Worker Private Practice
Responsibilities
I have been in private practice for the past six years.
I work with people from age 7 to age 65, individuals and
families. My primary population are teens.
Most people who come through the door have issues which are
trauma based. Sometimes masked by substance use/abuse and
or addiction challenges.
I begin with Assessment and Diagnosis using the DSM 5.
If insurance companies did not require a “diagnosis” I would
prefer not to do so.
I work with all “axis 1 diagnosis and now with the Dsm5
Sometimes we use narrative therapy,play therapy,
sandtray,mindfulness and/or energy psychology and family
systems.
I am Rogerian and Client-centered.
I also have done a fair amount of work with equine assisted
therapy and have at times had a therapy dog present.

2. Some clients have been with me for over 4 years and others have
done their healing in 6 months, a process, different for everyone.
