I cannot believe that we have made it! These two years have felt more like an eternity
except for these last two weeks that we have been celebrating. I wanted to give a
word of dedication to a couple of people who have made this ride worth taking. First
to my best friend Julie Jones: Where would I be without you Julie J? I came into
nursing school so lost and afraid of the future and am I leaving with a true and honest
friend that has guided me into the love of God. I am now no longer afraid of life and
what the future holds. I wake up every morning with a smile on my face knowing I
have God and his angel he sent me, you, by my side. You inspire me more through
hard times with your courageousness as you continue to give and take care of others. I
love you more than words can say. And to my boyfriend: Gustavo. Babe, I love you
more than anything! You were with me from the summer before nursing school and
have taken all my craziness that has landed me here today. I can’t wait to see what the
future holds. To my twin sister Samira: I watched you walk across the stage only two
months ago and you inspired me to continue on. I love you so very much and love that
I can always count on you to be by my side! And finally to the friends I have made in
nursing school. So many people told me that I would make life long friends but I never
knew I would make over 90! I am so proud of everyone who is here with us today and
who has helped us along the way.
