5. Add research material
1. Cite any stored research
material.
2. View is the default on the
research tab.
3. The default style guide
will be displayed here, but
can be different for different
projects.
4. Add a new project if you
don’t have one already.
5. ‘Add’ research material
using input forms.
6. Find research material in
online databases.
7. Click on the project name
to display the project
bibliography.
7. Edit your project
10. Highlight the text to anchor your citation (e.g., a full stop, a comma, or a word). In-text
citations will be added to the left of the highlighted text, footnotes and endnotes will be added
to the right.
11. Click the ‘Citation’ icon located on the inline editor, or select ‘Citation’ from the ‘Insert’
menu, and your research material will be listed.

13. List the project bibliography or search
all stored research material.
14. The project bibliography will be listed
here, or change the filters to narrow the
search.
15. Click ‘Search’ if you have changed the
filters.
16. Select the item you wish to cite.
17. Click ‘Cite’ and next you can
customize the data.

18. Customize your citation before adding
the link into your text.
19. Add the author, a prefix, pinpoint the
exact pages, and/or add a suffix.
20. Click ‘Cite’ and your link is added into
your text.
13. View citations on sidebar
22. Click the icon on the side bar to display your citation data.
23. Edit your citation data or delete your citation.
24. ‘Cite’ for in-text citations, ‘Cite Fn’ for footnote citations, or ‘Cite En’ for endnote
citations.
15. Preview formatted citations
25. Click the ‘Preview’ button to check your formatted output.
26. Your citations are formatted according to your chosen style guide.
